River Past Video Perspective provides a preview window with the scaling control.
Letter Box
With "Letterbox" as the scaling option, black strips are added to the top and bottom of a wide video to fit in a normal screen.
Pan and Scan
With "Pan and Scan" as the scaling option, the sides of a wide video are removed to make it fit in a normal screen. Compare this to the screen shoot under "Letterbox".
AVI Settings
Full control over the video and audio codec is available in the "Export" dialog when you export to AVI.
WMV Settings
For WMV output, the video quality is determined by the profile.
