EVOB to MPEG-1: Convert Video from EVOB(HD-DVD and BlueRay Enhanced VOB) to MPEG-1(MPEG-1 Video) with River Past Video Cleaner, EVOB2MPEG-1 converter, conversion
What is
EVOB?
Similar to the VOB files on
DVD, EVOB files contains the
video on HD-DVD and BlueRay
discs. It stores video at up to 1920x1080 60P in MPEG-2, VC-1, or AVC formats.
To convert from EVOB files, you will need to install both CCCP,
GPL MPEG-2 Decoder,
and AC-3 Decoder
Filter.
What is
MPEG-1?
The first MPEG format for compressed video, optimised for CD-ROM. MPEG-1
was designed for the transmission rates of about 1.5 Mbps achievable with Video-CD
and CD-i. Its compression algorithms
allow better than VHS quality video and almost CD quality audio to be compressed
onto and streamed off a single speed (1x) CD-ROM drive. MPEG encoding can introduce
blockiness, colour bleed and shimmering effects on video and lack of detail
and quantisation effects on audio. The official name of MPEG-1 is International
Standard IS-11172.
MPEG.ORG is an excellent source for additional
information on MPEG format and usage.
To encode MPEG-1 video, you will need River
Past MPEG-2 Booster Pack in addition to your video software.
