What is
FLV?
FLV is the video format
used by Flash.
FLV (Flash Video) is a proprietary file format used to deliver video over
the Internet using Adobe Flash Player (formerly known as Macromedia Flash Player)
version 6, 7, 8, or 9. FLV content may also be embedded within SWF files. Notable
users of the FLV format include YouTube,
Google Video, Reuters.com Yahoo! Video and MySpace.
To convert FLV video to other formats with River Past software, you need
to have CCCP

What is
OGG?
Ogg Vorbis (sometimes just called Vorbis)
is an open source patent-free audio compression format, developed as a replacement
for proprietary digital audio encoding formats, such as MP3,
VQF, and AAC.
Vorbis files (which have an .ogg extension) compress to a smaller size than
MP3 files, which reduces bandwidth and storage requirements. According to many
reports, Vorbis provides better sound quality than MP3.
To encode OGG Vorbis audio with River Past software, please have
either Torbias' OGG
DirectShow Filters or Radlight
Ogg Media Filters installed.
