NUV to Walkman: Convert NUV(MythTV) video to Walkman with River Past Crazi Video

What is NUV?

MythTV is a Unix application which turns a computer with the necessary hardware into a network streaming digital video recorder, a digital multimedia home entertainment system, or Home Theater Personal Computer. MythTV is free software licensed under the GPL. It can be considered as a free and open source alternative to Tivo or Windows Media Center.

To convert MythTV NUV video to other formats with River Past software, please have MythTV DirectShow Filters installed.

Launch Crazi Video

Install Crazi Video, launch Crazi Video.

Add File

Click on the "Add File" button on the tool bar. The standard file open dialog appears. Select "NUV - MythTV" in its "Files of type" combo box.

Note: To convert from NUV MythTV files, you must have CCCP and GPL MPEG Decoder installed.

Select Walkman Output

Click on the toggle in front of "Output Format" to expand the panel.

Select "Sony Walkman" as the device type.

Note, please make sure you have the latest QuickTime installed.

Change individual file settings

Select the file in the conversion list. An additional panel "Convert File" appears.

Click on the toggle to expand the panel.

If you want to extract the audio from the video, select "Audio" as the "Media Type".

The aspect ratio is retrieve from the original video file. In some cases, this value may be incorrect. To change it, you can either select from the list, or type in a value.

Select output directory

Expand the "Output Directory" panel. Use the "Browse" button to select an output directory.

If you have the Walkman phone connected, you can set the Sync Option to "Copy Files to Device Directly". Crazi Video will find the connected Walkman and copy the converted files to the appropriate directories for playback.

You can also set the Sync Option to "Do not Sync" and manage the files yourself.

Convert

Click the "Convert" button on the tool bar.
