XVID to Archos: Convert XVID(XVID Video) video to Archos with River Past Crazi Video
What is
XVID?
XviD is the name of a popular new video
codec being developed as an open source project by volunteer programmers from
all over the world. The format was created to offer a free alternative to other
commercial video codecs, and despite being open source its quality and efficiency
has made it one of the most popular video codecs online.
XviD, as a file type, is an AVI file with video encoded with XviD codec.
To convert form xvid video, please make sure either CCCP
or the native xvid
codec is installed.
Launch Crazi Video
Install Crazi Video, launch Crazi Video.
Add File
Click on the "Add File" button on the tool bar. The standard file open dialog appears. Select "XVID - XviD Video" in its "Files of type" combo box.
Select the file you want to convert and click "Open". The file will be added to the conversion file list.
Note: To convert from Xvid files, please have CCCP installed.

Select archos Output
Click on the toggle in front of "Output Format" to expand the panel.
Select "Archos" as the device type.
Change individual file settings
Select the file in the conversion list. An additional panel "Convert File" appears.
Click on the toggle to expand the panel.
If you want to extract the audio from the video, select "Audio" as the "Media Type".
The aspect ratio is retrieve from the original video file. In some cases, this value may be incorrect. To change it, you can either select from the list, or type in a value.
Select output directory
Expand the "Output Directory" panel. Use the "Browse" button to select an output directory.
If you have Archos connected, select "Copy Files to Device Directly". Crazi Video will find your Archos player and copy the converted files to the appropriate directories for playback.
You can also set the Sync Option to "Do not Sync", and manage the files yourself.
Convert
Click the "Convert" button on the tool bar.
