Sync iTunes to Archos with River Past ShadowTunes

Launch ShadowTunes

ShadowTunes enables you to sync your iTune library content to non-Apple devices.

It should be installed on the same PC as your iTunes software.

Note: ShadowTunes does not sync DRM protected content purchased from iTunes store. Those files cannot be played by non-Apple devices anyway. Only ripped content can be synced.

Connect Archos

On Archos, set the connection settings to "Hard drive" USB mode.

Connect Archos to your PC with the supplied USB cable. Archos will mount as a storage device in Windows.

Click the "Settings" button. That's the first button on the top of the ShadowTunes window.

ShadowTunes brings up the settings dialog.

Select "Archos" as the Device Type. Click OK to close the dialog.

ShadowTunes will find your connected Archos device automatically.

Select Playlists

ShadowTunes shows you your iTunes playlists. Select the playlists which you want to sync to your Archos player.

Sync

Click the "Sync" button. That's the last button on top of the ShadowTunes window.

ShadowTunes will start syncing your iTunes playlists to your Archos player. It will detect the media file types, and convert the files if necessary.
